Frequently asked questions

Is CodeSprig free?

You can try any track for free right now — click "Try a live demo" on the sign-up screen for a no-signup guest account that runs through the end of Week 1. To go further — all 9 weeks per level, both mini-projects, and a QR-verifiable certificate — you'll need an access passcode. Email Dr. Anande at tertseghaanande@gmail.com to request one for any track.

What ages is CodeSprig for?

CodeSprig is designed for school students ages 10–16 (Years 5–10), though the content is genuinely challenging enough to be useful well beyond that range too.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Every track runs entirely in your web browser — Python and AutoML/Machine Learning run via Pyodide, R runs via WebR, and SQL runs via a real in-browser SQLite engine. Nothing to download or set up.

Do I need to know Python before trying the other tracks?

Web Design, R, and SQL don't require any Python background — you can jump straight in. AutoML, Cybersecurity, Data Science, and Machine Learning move faster if you already know the basics of writing and reading code, so we recommend starting with Python Beginner first if you're brand new to coding.

How do certificates work?

Each track has three levels — Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced. Finishing every week, both mini-projects, and a short feedback survey unlocks a downloadable certificate with a QR code that anyone can use to verify it's genuine — and unlocks the next level.

Is my progress saved if I switch devices?

Yes. Your account is protected by a securely hashed password (never stored or visible in plain text, even to the instructor), and logging in on any device restores your exact progress.
